JANUARY NEWSLETTER
We hope everyone had a good Christmas and New Year, we know it was a little disrupted due to the weather so thank you for your patience. We did try to get information out through email so if we don’t have up to date contact information we would appreciate it if you let us know.
It may only be three weeks into the new year but we already have two new calves born on the 20th and 24th ; two healthy females which we will keep on the farm to add to our herd. It’s also getting close to lambing time, we had our flock of 70 sheep scanned over the weekend and in total we are expecting almost 100 lambs.
We have had a few messages about the potatoes and turnips being rotten inside. It isn’t always possible to see anything wrong with the vegetables until you cut into them; if you do have any problems then please let us know and we can make up for the wasted items in your next order.
For anyone that has looked over our new website you may have noticed a testimonial page; one of our customers very kindly sent in some comments for us to post on it. We are always interested to know what you think of the service and vegetables so if you have any feed back, good or bad, we would love to hear from you.
As we’re sure you are aware the prices, of almost everything, have been creeping up over the past few months. While we do our best to take on most of the extra costs we are going to have to put a small increase onto the egg prices from February, the new price will be £1.40 per half dozen free range hen eggs. This is simply due to price of hen feed rising quite dramatically.
